Hey Josh, what happened to the Photo Gallery? I need to get inspired before Saturday!

Way to be updating the site Josh! It's looking good.

Landon

Tue, 21 Oct 2008 13:16:51

Yes, I agree. Keep it up! Even though right now me and Elishema are the only one's here and commenting...

Yes Josh you are doing a great job other than i think u should take the standings page comment down to start the season, lol.

Yes Josh. It takes time and your taking it and doing a goooooood job. Thanks

Thu, 30 Oct 2008 10:54:35

Hey Josh! You SUCK! hAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHaaaaaaaaa!!!

Thu, 30 Oct 2008 10:58:39

By the way, if you're ever updating the roster page, I've put my Wellwood days behind me, and I've trimmed down to a sleek 195 lbs. We can leave it at 205 though...it looks more imposing to our opponents who frequent our site while they're searching for a weakness in our team....they won't find one.

Elishema

Thu, 30 Oct 2008 13:40:07

Wayne... I never knew you were that kind of person.

Thu, 30 Oct 2008 14:36:58

Ummm...what kind of person? A thin one?

Josh

Thu, 30 Oct 2008 14:51:02

what, how could I make this stuff up. I just say what I heard

Landon

Fri, 31 Oct 2008 11:17:19

We know its true. We saw him dancing around in the dressing room....AFTER his shower! I guess it turns out he was just warming up for the big performance at the seniors.

BTW my wife was referring to your streaking, Wayne. Not your thinning (I noticed you changing the subject!).

Hey guys, not sure if you guys will see this before the game...
I hurt my leg yesterday in a morning hockey I play, so thats why I was a no show yesterday.
It's nothing serious. But I'll be a game-time decision today...

rumor has it that a lingering groin strain has kept Mark Thiessen off the scoresheet this season and until that clears up, he can't be expected to reverse this early season slump this coming weekend...

I am having some difficulties with my internet the last couple days. That is why there has been no update. Hopefully it will get corrected soon when the landlord returns.

Good job on the win

Angela

Sun, 07 Dec 2008 16:11:37

Yeah another win, Great Job Guys you played really good last night keep it up

Wayne

Mon, 08 Dec 2008 09:31:51

Yep, in 11 games this season, we've equalled our win output from the previous two seasons combined....I think we're on our way to a dynasty! Actually, I can't remember now if we even won a game in that first season, or if I'm counting that unofficial shootout as a win. Maybe we've DOUBLED our output!

On a related note, I think I enjoyed the first win this season more than the second one. It's way more fun when teams don't resort to goon tactics after they realize they've been outplayed while playing within the rules.

I must've missed the part where it said we were playing for a trophy and a million dollars.

But yeah, Angela said it, we played a very strong game and deserved that win completely. Nice work!

Landon

Mon, 08 Dec 2008 20:34:42

Oh yeah and by the way. Every team has a million dollars alloted to them at the beginning of the season for salaries. I just haven't paid you because I didn't think cousins would accept payment. I kept it, sorry.

Anyways, I'd say it was nice this time to win because we actually out-played them, out-chanced them, out-goalie-penaltied them and now, we're currently out-websiting them. So yeah we deserved it.

Oh yeah and the trophy is huge. And it's presented by Elisha Cuthbert.

Wayne

Tue, 09 Dec 2008 07:35:55

And now the truth comes out about the salaries...I knew we should've pushed for full salary disclosure on our new CBA...

And Elisha Cuthbert's presenting the trophy? Well, that might've been cool at one time, but after all the stuff Sean Avery said about her....I don't know. I lost all respect for her. I don't know how someone like her could've tricked somebody as cool as Avery into dating her. She must have lots of money.

Hey, who's been skating to get back into shape? I'm going out this afternoon for a skate at the Blumenort rink again. Anyone else coming? :) Oh yeah, you all have jobs...

Tim

Wed, 14 Jan 2009 20:15:09

I have a few beefs with this website! First of all, why doesnt it show anywhere how many wins i have! I mean that in a plural form too!
You should post the standings as well, since we are no longer last and all.

Mark

Fri, 16 Jan 2009 13:44:59

Tim makes a good point. We're not last anymore!

Hey, what about Wayne's goal against the Classics? I seem to remember him scoring one that he didn't get credit for on the scoresheet. Haven't they reviewed the video replay and corrected that yet? I mean, the guy's in a tight race for the league scoring lead and he needs all the help he can get!

Anonymous

Tue, 20 Jan 2009 10:29:23

Hey Josh, about those stat corrections, when do we get to see how many points Wayne really needs to lead the league in scoring?

Wayne

Wed, 21 Jan 2009 08:12:03

Hey, with the proper stat corrections, I probably only need to make up, oh....about 45 more points and I'm in the lead, baby! How many games do we have left...7? No problem!

Now, where did I leave my steroids?

hey tim and I were wondering what times the re-scheduled games are going to be at and no which days.
thanks

Dad stole the paper from me at the last game. I hope he didn't lose it...

Does the operator of this site ever even bother to check it! When was the last time he has even bothered to open this page!

Hey, it's about time somebody had the courage to go and schedule a 6:00 game on Valentine's Day. I'm sure there's lots of guys that dream of making their girls wait until they're done playing a meaningless game of hockey so they can go out and enjoy the sweet smell of hockey equipment. Nothing says 'romance' better than decades-old sweat stench! Let's just say I'm glad I'm married and don't have to do anything for Valentine's Day anymore! haha...I'm kidding...please don't kill me...

Nice to see some posts even though most have no merit. Tim I suppose I could put your wins on the stats sheet but that would not look to good. And the standings have been on here for a long time. Right at the top of the home page. As for Wayne's goal I believe that is updated.

Admin

Tue, 10 Feb 2009 14:50:15

Last weekends stats will probably be updated wednesday as I am gone all evening today. Actually maybe thursday as I need to study a massive trappers manual (over 350 pages)so that I can write my exam and get my liscence by the weekend

Amazed in the Maples

Tue, 10 Feb 2009 20:26:10

Wow Tim. I am impressed. I knew you could spin a yarn, but that was like a rope! (Or at least, something more significant than a yarn...)
Nicely done.
Was there really a leg kick? I can't remember. And to my knowledge--I've never seen a ballerina on steroids, but I'm sure it would be amazing...just like your editorial.

I Love Ska

Tue, 10 Feb 2009 22:52:54

It's about time we got some decent story telling around here...with enough metaphors to put out an oil fire, I'd say...

Josh

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 07:53:35

Haha thats what I was going for. And Landon I wrote the story. Maybe Timmy boy will write one yet. He could do a medieval theme. Something like Sir Wayne slashed at the puck like he was swinging a double edged sword as fair maiden Nicole gazed upon him with dreamy eyes

Wayne

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 08:24:35

Well, I can't say a ballerina on steroids would be 'amazing'...I think 'disturbing' would be a better fit. Speaking of fit, what would be amazing is if that ballerina could actually squeeze into one of those ballet outfits.

Nice work, Josh, on stepping up your story-telling efforts. I can tell you put your heart into it. It's way more fun writing about a game when you win, hey?

I think the best part of the story is the section about the second game...very vivid detail...had me on the edge of my seat! I give it 3 thumbs up!

Wayne

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 08:25:43

Oh, and that little medieval ditty had my heart pounding

Landon

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 09:24:24

What?!?! You wrote that Josh? Wow that was a step up in the writing category! Here Tim was talking about writing one for the website and then BOOM! An article with flair and imagination...two things I normally attribute to someone who has a history of writing medieval boooks.
I guess I should have been tipped off by the lack of "by Tim Thiessen" that Mark got.
And Wayne, I don't want to hear about you and your heart pounding. You have enough kids to worry about now...

I Love Ska

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 14:21:51

Hey Josh, the compliment was for you. I knew it wasn't Tim, lol. For it to be vaguely not like you, you would have had to excuse phrases like "howitzer" "4 by 6 cage" "glimmer" and so on. Besides, you always spell 'there' wrong. :o) But yes, a medieval encounter would be something to read about. Are you up for it for the season finale Tim? Then again, it is the season finale, and Josh should have dibbs, but maybe he used up all his creative juices on this one already...

I Love Ska

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 14:38:48

Hey Landon, if you'd noticed some key words like "howitzer" "glimmer" "leaping gazelle" and "4 by 6 cage" you would have quickly realized it was Josh. Besides, "there" is always used incorrectly. That's a staple in Josh's recaps. But I would be interested to see the Medieval version by Tim sometime...

Josh

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 16:05:46

Stats are up but I don't have the score sheet for the 11-1 game.

I Love Ska

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 23:05:58

Sorry bout the double comment. I lost my internet connection and my post didn't go up, so yeah, anyway, Cliff scored the goal assisted by Mark Thiessen and Kenton Thiessen. At least they didn't get the shut-out.

Josh

Thu, 12 Feb 2009 06:23:47

Were there any penalties. I believe the roster for the game was Kenton, Mark, Cliff, Tim, Uncle Al, Kevin in goal and I think one more but I am drawing a blank

White Knight

Thu, 12 Feb 2009 20:00:34

Medieval theme eh? maybe for next week.

Mark

Thu, 12 Feb 2009 23:57:51

Dennis was the other man. No penalties from our side. I think we got a power play once. It was a clean game.

Admin

Fri, 20 Feb 2009 10:42:42

The stats are all up to date except for last week. I do not have the score sheet for that one. I added the 11-1 game when we had only 6 skaters.

Admin

Mon, 23 Feb 2009 18:11:41

Ok, everything should be up to date and I kept the Regular Season and Playoff stats seperate

A goalie

Tue, 24 Feb 2009 06:53:11

If my memory serves me correctly. Didnt we only get a total of 7 goals scored against us. 7 divided by 2 = 4?

Admin

Tue, 24 Feb 2009 07:52:05

Yep you are right. For some reason I thought we allowed 8 goals against. I think I went 3 and 5 but the first game was only 2

Tue, 03 Mar 2009 01:36:24

Hey, I don't really care, but I did assist on that goal that uncle myron scored in the last play-off game. And I clearly heard the ref say 11 from 3 so I'm just wondering why it's not on there...everyone knows I took the shot that led to our rebound goal...

I love ska

Tue, 03 Mar 2009 01:37:43

I would like to retract that statement, as I see the 3rd game is not up as I thought...sorry! ~hanging head~

Admin

Thu, 05 Mar 2009 07:58:11

I don't have that game sheet. Are you the only assist on that goal. And was uncle myron the only one that got a penalty.

I love ska

Thu, 05 Mar 2009 12:54:34

I was the only assist, yeah...and I remember that the refs were calling no penalties all game too, so that was probably the only one. But I couldn't say for sure.

Good article Wayne. Thoroughly enjoyed it

I agree with Josh, Wayne! So when is this award ceremony?

Landon

Fri, 20 Mar 2009 10:57:16

Very biting and cynical. Typical explosive writing there, Wayne. Let the controversy begin.
haha
Nice work.

Great Job guys and I hope to make it out next year for a few weekends.
